Mirror Image Name Designs

Hidden deep within our names are strange imaginary creatures that can only be released through creativity and a lively imagination. Art I students discovered these amazing creatures during a recent assignment during our chapter work on Principles of Design Repetition, Movement and Rythm. Students wrote their names in cursive and then traced the mirror image on the reverse side of the paper and then the fun began. Even the least confident students were able to pull those little creatures from within!!!!

This was a wonderful lesson to teach movement and rhythm but the glue made a bit of mess when we worked to put the pieces together. We still had a great completed projects.

Still waiting

I'm still waiting to hear from my computer repair guy. I miss posting to our blog and hope that in the next week I will
be back to full speed with things. At this point I'm using a loaned laptop and a whole lot of patience to get through this downtime. Hang in there and keep checkikng back. Maybe it won't take long.
